Bring your appetite to the 32nd annual Taste of the Town on November 2, 2014. This festival has continued to grow throughout its long history, and nearly 10,000 people enjoy the festivities every year.
Visitors can enjoy foods and beverages from a variety of the area’s most popular restaurants. Whether you’re craving seafood, barbeque, Italian, pizza or another cuisine, you can enjoy all of your favorites in one place.
In addition, Taste of the Town features exciting live entertainment and an exciting Kids Adventure Zone. Best of all, the money you spend will go to help local charitable organizations since the event is coordinated by the Junior League of Fort Myers.
Paint the Beach
Whether you’re an artist, art lover or both, you can’t miss the 2014 Paint the Beach event. The Plein Air Festival will take place from November 3 to November 9. From November 4-6, over 60 artists will be painting throughout town, so you never know where you will run into beautiful artwork!
Prizes will be awarded on November 7, and you can purchase a piece of unique artwork, enjoy live music and activities and more on November 8 and 9.
American Sandsculpting Championship
From November 21-30, some of the world’s best sandsculpters gather at Fort Myers beach for the 28th annual American Sandsculpting Championship. The event takes place in front of the Wyndham Garden Hotel.
During the week, you’ll marvel at the incredible sculptures, and you can also participate in a variety of other fun activities. Watch the area’s best amateurs compete for the title of 2014 State Champion, and be amazed at how quickly they can work during Quick Sand Speed Sculpting.
The event also includes an activity area for kids with inflatables, items for purchase from over 60 vendors and much more, so it’s the perfect destination for the entire family!
