Hop on a trolley, listen to great music, and enjoy tasty appetizers and desserts, or ‘tapas’, at six Fort Myers Beach restaurants during the 15th annual Tapa Hop.
The event takes place on Tuesday, Nov. 14 from 4:30 to 9:00 p.m.
You will check in at South Beach Grille, 7205 Estero Blvd., and visit five other restaurants: Bayfront Bistro, Castaway’s Bar & Grill, Island View, Pinchers, and The Salty Crab.
Each restaurant will serve Tapa Hop guests an average of three complimentary appetizers and/or desserts and offer a cash bar.
This year’s theme is music, with each trolley playing one genre. When you register, choose from 80’s music, country, beach/reggae, Margaritaville or the Beach Boys for your trolley journey. You are encouraged to have fun with the theme. Wear your favorite concert t-shirt or thematic clothes that match the music.
You will stay with your specific trolley and fellow “hoppers” throughout the night. Each trolley will take a different route, so your stop at each restaurant is not crowded.
The event includes raffle prizes and grand prizes — such as gift cards, admission tickets, and bottles of wine or liquor — donated by area businesses.
You can also participate in the poker run. Draw a playing card at each of the six locations. At the last restaurant, the winner with the best five-card hand will win a prize.
Tapa Hop tickets are $35 in advance and $45 at the door, if tickets are still available. Poker Run tickets are additional.
Tickets are on sale now for Greater Fort Myers Beach Chamber of Commerce members. General tickets go on sale two weeks before the event.
