Point Ybel Brewing Beers
Focusing on island flavors such as key lime, orange blossom, peppers, sea grapes, and more, Point Ybel produces tasty and unique beers you won’t be able to find anywhere else. Since opening, they have produced over 100 different grain beers with a new limited-batch craft each week. Here are just a few customer favorites from their normal rotation menu:
Endless Summer Pale Ale
Brewed with galaxy hops, this American pale ale boasts a citrus and passionfruit aroma. It’s smooth with just a touch of bitterness, making it the perfect way to end a long day at the beach.
Snook Bite IPA
This is a flagship beer that is brewed with Simcoe and mosaic hops. It leaves a sharp bite with a rich mango, lemon, citrus, pine, and tropical fruit flavor. It’s half sweet, half bitter taste is perfectly balanced.
YAY! Sanibel Saison
This brew is best enjoyed watching the sunset on the beach. Light strawberry tastes are complimented with a mild spiciness and dry finish. It’s a Belgian-inspired farmhouse ale that enjoys a beachy twist.
Sanibel Red Island Ale
Inspired by Irish red ale, this brew is lightly hopped and malted. It leaves a toasted taste with just a bit of sweetness and a clean finish.
Equipment
Point Ybel Brewing uses only state-of-the-art technology to make their delicious beers. Their commercial grade Brew-Magic system uses 4 barrels and 252-gallon fermenters to craft the brews. It provides only the best in efficiency, repeatability, and recipe creation.
The Tasting Room
Point Ybel’s tasting room, also known as Hurricane Hole, provides a laid back atmosphere that is great for gathering friends. In addition to tasting the brewery’s flavorful beers, you will also enjoy open mic nights every Tuesday, jazz nights on Thursdays, and live music from local artists on Friday nights. The fun never ends!

After Ponce de Leon supposedly discovered Sanibel Island during his quest for the fountain of youth, he named the beautiful island “Santa Isybella.” The very first pioneer settlement in Sanibel centered their homes around Point Ybel in 1832. This made the the town the main hub of activity for many years. Today, you can explore “Old Town Sanibel” and view major points of interest such as the Point Ybel Lighthouse. This tower was the first lighthouse on Florida’s Gulf Coast north of Key West.
