Area Activities:
Welcome to Fort Myers Beach! There are multiple state parks nearby that are waiting for your adventures. Jump on the trolley to take you south to the secluded Lover's Key State Park or go north to Bowditch Point Park. The Fish Tale Marina offers boat rentals and dockage for those wanting to get out on the water. Travel around the island in style in a rented Moke or golf cart. Trolley service is also available from Estero Boulevard to the Times Square area, the central hub of Fort Myers Beach. Several restaurants, shops, and bars have come back since the hurricane. If a day trip is what you are looking for check out the Key West Express for an unforgettable trip to Key West. Don’t forget to see Sanibel Lighthouse which is less than 15 miles away! Please note that the area is currently rebuilding after Hurricane Ian. Despite the changes, the island continues to get better and better, inviting you to bask in the sun, sand, and amazing sunsets once again. As local restaurants continue to reopen, you'll have lots of opportunities for entertainment and dining experiences. We're excited to welcome you back.

"We had a great stay—everything was clean, comfortable, and just as described. The location was perfect and check-in was easy. One small suggestion: it would be helpful to have a few more basic amenities like dish soap, toilet paper, and toiletries such as shampoo or body wash. "Our family of 10 (5 couples) loved our stay at Island Grande. The location was perfect with a quick walk to the beach, and the backyard *heated* private pool was a huge bonus - we ended up spending part of every day back there watching the outdoor TV and lounging! The kitchen and dining areas had plenty of space for us and the bedrooms were clean and well appointed. Having Publix a 5 minute walk away was super convenient, and the house is far enough down Estero Blvd to be away from the noise and crowds of fort Myers beach (especially during spring break time). There is definitely significant traffic in the evenings in front of the house, but we never had an issue thanks to planning. There was some construction noise, but that is unavoidable after such a big hurricane. Sun Palace was a great host!"

"We had a wonderful girls trip. The house was perfect and we LOVED spending time in the pool after being at the beach. There is a lot of damage in the surrounding area from Hurricane Ian and lots of construction traffic but it didn’t hinder our stay or our plans for a future stay. We did a resort day pass at the Pink Shell to pass time before we were able to get into the house. Highly recommend for anyone who has an early flight in and the house is not ready."
