Welcome to Fort Myers Beach! There are multiple state parks nearby that are waiting for your adventures. Jump on the trolley to take you south to the secluded Lover's Key State Park or go north to Bowditch Point Park. The Fish Tale Marina offers boat rentals and dockage for those wanting to get out on the water. Travel around the island in style in a rented Moke or golf cart. Trolley service is also available from Estero Boulevard to the Times Square area, the central hub of Fort Myers Beach. If a day trip is what you are looking for check out the Key West Express for an unforgettable trip to Key West. Don’t forget to see Sanibel Lighthouse, which is less than 15 miles away!

"Blue Heron lives up to its name. Beautifully decorated, relaxing, comfortable, and very clean beach house! The pool was perfect for family fun, and the beach was just a short walk away. The kitchen was incredibly well stocked with everything we needed—only thing missing was a pizza cutter! We had a wonderful stay, highly recommend it, and would definitely come back."

"Blue Heron was exactly what we hoped it would be for Spring Break! Place was excellent for 4 adults and 3 kids, plenty of space. Plenty of kitchen appliances, utensils, etc. The pool area was perfect. The kids absolutely loved it. The grill worked great, with plenty of propane available. Plenty of pool/beach towels available which was unexpected. The listing doesn’t mention beach stuff being there, but we were pleasantly surprised the outdoor bin had 7-8 chairs, beach toys, and even a cart to walk down to the beach (~5 min walk). Perfect surprise and no need to rent anything! We’d absolutely stay there again! Couple of callouts: 1. We had to buy dish soap, there was none there to clean dishes (we left a big bottle under the sink for future guests ) 2. Probably need to buy extra paper towels if you stay. 3. It’s about 1.5 miles to Times Square. Rush hour traffic in the afternoon off the island was brutal so if driving down there go early!"

"Best Christmas vacation ever at The Blue Heron Hideaway Fort Myers Beach!!! Our family of 6 (with 4 college age students) spent the week soaking in the sun in the heated pool with toys, floats and loungers in and out of the pool, a quick walk to the beach with powder sand and endless sun. Bonus house provided beach towels, beach chairs, sand toys, and a cart to carry the load. This place has everything you may need and more. The house is very clean, well decorated, the beds are comfy, including the sofabed, the kitchen is stocked with everything need to cook, washer & dryer are an added bonus. Close to the to the restaurants and action, but the beach access is almost like it's your own private beach. Hands down the best!!"
