Area Activities:
Welcome to Fort Myers Beach! There are multiple state parks nearby that are waiting for your adventures. Jump on the trolley to take you south to the secluded Lover's Key State Park or go north to Bowditch Point Park. The Fish Tale Marina offers boat rentals and dockage for those wanting to get out on the water. Travel around the island in style in a rented Moke or golf cart. Trolley service is also available from Estero Boulevard to the Times Square area, the central hub of Fort Myers Beach. Several restaurants, shops, and bars have come back since the hurricane. If a day trip is what you are looking for check out the Key West Express for an unforgettable trip to Key West. Don’t forget to see Sanibel Lighthouse which is less than 15 miles away! Please note that the area is currently rebuilding after Hurricane Ian. Despite the changes, the island continues to get better and better, inviting you to bask in the sun, sand, and amazing sunsets once again. As local restaurants continue to reopen, you'll have lots of opportunities for entertainment and dining experiences. We're excited to welcome you back.

"The house was exactly as pictured, very clean and comfortable for our group of 9 (7 adults, 2 kids). My family of 4 took the downstairs "family bedroom". The location was convenient to the beach, downtown, restaurants and the grocery store. The screened in patio saved us from the no-seeums and mosquitoes when using the pool and hanging out on the patio. Not having an indoor staircase connecting the upstairs and downstairs was a bit odd but wasn't really a problem for us. We only needed to go upstairs to cook with the stove/oven since the downstairs had a fridge, keurig, sink and microwave. The house even provided a huge basket of beach towels. We went to Lover's Key State Park which was worth the walk from the parking lot and the 8 fee. We also drove over to Sanibel in about 35min for the lighthouse and Bowman's beach(also a good walk from the parking lot). As an added bonus, Costco and Total Wine were convenient stops on the way in from RSW airport as well. If we visit the area again we would definitely stay at Gone Coastal again. Sun Palace was really easy to work with and answered all my questions quickly."

"House was wonderful. We appreciated all of the beach items it had and how close it was to the nearest grocery store. It was easy to make a quick meal or find a place to eat. Great location - about a block from the beach and away from the really busy areas. We also loved the pool area and outdoor space. We did have to grab more toilet paper and detergent, but that wasn’t a problem. Great stay!"

"Amazing vacation! Rented bikes for our stay. We used them to bike around the island. Beach walks every morning and loved seeing the dolphins and picking up shells. Golf cart taxi, trolley and free tram were amazing way to get around the island. Awesome house, had everything we needed."

"Our stay was absolutely wonderful! The home had everything we needed — clean, comfortable, and beautifully decorated with a charming coastal style. The beds were super comfy, and every room had a TV. The pool patio, bar, and family room off the pool each had TVs too, which was perfect for football season — the guys loved it!
We really enjoyed our beach walks (just a half block away!) and even spotted dolphins. In the afternoon and evenings, we walked to nearby beach bars and restaurants to enjoy dinner and live music, then took the Beach Boys Island Riders golf cart taxi home — easy, fun, and the perfect end to the day! "Everything was perfect! The property was more amazing than we anticipated! We were short beach towels but we used the beach blankets too and it was fine. Perfect location to the beach and we used the trolley or walked whenever we could survive the heat!
A few things we noticed that could be helpful for other renters; ceiling fans in front porch (we used those areas often but would have been out there more if there were fans), the outdoor rug down by the pool seemed to have something that kept biting our ankles, not sure what can be done, beach chairs and beach items need to be replaced or looked at. Otherwise it was perfect! Will definitely be back in the future!!!"

"This is a five star review overall, because the property met all of our needs. Location, number of bedrooms, number of baths. The bonus was the pool, which we totally enjoyed. The only negative was an issue with the air conditioning on the lower level. Sun Palace did react quickly, but could not completely correct the problem."

"We had an amazing stay at the "Gone Coastal" property! It was spacious, clean, and had super comfy beds. The decor was lovely, and the house had everything we needed. The grocery store was just 9 blocks south, which was really convenient for us. The pool area was fantastic, and we spent a lot of time on the deck. The beach was only half a block away, and the owner provided everything for a great beach day—beach towels, chairs, an umbrella, a wagon, and coolers. We enjoyed walking around the island and taking the tram to lunch and dinner, with plenty of live music and shopping to explore. It was definitely a 5-star experience!"

"Great place! Beautiful home, great location! Quiet neighborhood but close to lots to do and only a slight walk to the beach. Downstairs is only accessible by going outside. "We rented Gone Coastal in Fort Myers Beach for a week with our family of four. The house was spotless and spacious with lots of common areas to hang out inside and outside. The home had many amenities including a fully stocked kitchen, games, a pool & grill. We were a block away from the beach, a few blocks from the Publix and Times Square shopping. Short drive to Sanibel Island. The area is still quite devastated from the hurricane, but the beaches are beautiful and restaurants are coming back. The management company was easy to deal with and very helpful."
